In 2009, the position of Tourism Director for the city of Gloucester was eliminated due to budget cuts.  The administration of the visitor's center was turned over to the Tourism Commission, a volunteer board of seven residents of Gloucester.  Presently there are only six positions filled.  See Tourism Board for more information.  The visitor's center is manned seven days a week, nine hours a day by volunteers, most NEW.  Post your comments.
