Gloucester Tourism Has Taken A Giant Step Forward
PR for Gloucester has partnered with the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce to hire a public relations agency to promote tourism for all of Gloucester.
After many long months, five proposals, and two fantastic applicants, we have unanimously chosen Matter Communications for a one year contract to promote tourism for Gloucester. Matter Communications is a firm of 35 publicists that boast of clients like CVS, Verizon Wireless, Addison Gallery and others. They are based out of Newburyport and Providence. While we will be able to tap into the full resources of the firm, our team is made up of three people, one of which is one of the vice presidents of the firm. Two of our team came to Gloucester as tourists about a decade ago and stayed as residents. They are young and hip and are tapped into the cutting edge techniques of this changing industry. They will bring a fresher outlook and that young, professional mentality which is the fastest growing segment of travelers. The team has already been actively involved in 'living' in Gloucester and loving every minute of it. I am very excited as are they and look forward to getting started.

The new Gloucester division of the Chamber of Commerce will actively assist Matter Communications by reaching out to the community for interesting stories and activities to tempt the potential visitors to our area. You do not need to be a member of the Chamber to participate. You just need to care about promoting tourism in Gloucester.
What you can do to help......
